Enter any US address. We search pre-1930 public-domain newspapers in the Library of Congress archive for real items about your street or town, then weave them into a personalized, clearly fictional ghost story — narrated, with a case file and a real historical clipping. Choose a gentle Family-Friendly Edition or an 18+ After Dark Edition.

A story about your place, built on real history
Haunt My Block™ is a digital storytelling service. You give us a US address; we find real, dated items from historical American newspapers (published 1930 or earlier, from the Library of Congress Chronicling America collection) that mention your street, neighborhood, or town — a flood, a parade, a strange lost-and-found notice, a storefront oddity.
Then we write an original ghost story set where you live — gentle and spooky-fun for the whole family, or full-strength horror for adults (18+) — with those real events in the background and every source cited in your case file.
Fiction, clearly labeled. Every story is a work of fiction inspired by public-domain historical records. Characters are invented. We never name real past residents, never portray real people as ghosts, and make no claim that any property is haunted.

Evidence from the archive
These are real.
Every story starts with clippings like these: real, dated items from public-domain newspapers that mention the street. These three are from Park Avenue in Minneapolis, the street in our sample. Only the story around them is fiction.

Questions
Can I report a haunting or look up an address’s history here?
No. Haunt My Block™ writes personalized, clearly labeled fiction from public-domain newspapers. We do not host, collect, or publish user-submitted haunting reports, sightings, or property records, and there is no public address lookup or registry on this site.
Do you use AI?
Yes. Stories are written and narrated with the help of AI tools (AI-assisted writing and AI-generated narration voice). The historical items are real and cited from public-domain sources; everything around them is AI-assisted fiction that passes automated checks for accuracy of citations, no real names, and content standards before you are charged.
Is the story true?
No. The newspaper items in your case file are real and cited; the ghost story built around them is fiction with invented characters. We make no claim that any property is haunted.
Where does the history come from?
Public-domain US newspapers published in 1930 or earlier, from the Library of Congress Chronicling America collection. Haunt My Block™ is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Library of Congress.
What if you can’t find much about my street?
The free preview tells you before you pay whether we found street-level, town-level, or only region-level history. Region-only stories are automatically $5 off.
How and when is it delivered?
Digitally. After checkout we research, write, narrate, and check your story, then email you a private download link — usually within about 30 minutes. If we can’t deliver a story that passes our checks within 24 hours, the authorization is released and you are not charged.
How do digital gifts work?
Choose the Family-Friendly or After Dark Edition, then enter the recipient’s US address (the story is about their home), their email, a personal note, your name, and the date and time you want it delivered (up to 60 days ahead). At that moment they get one email, “your name sent you a letter for your house”, with a private download link, a one-click opt-out and a report-abuse link. Same $14 USD price. We create, check and charge for the story at purchase; only the delivery email is scheduled. After Dark Edition gifts require you to confirm the recipient is 18+, and gifts are always sent to an adult’s email. Please only send gifts to people you know. The mailed Gift Edition ($49 USD) is coming soon.
Which edition is right for me?
Family-Friendly Edition is gentle and spooky-fun for all ages: friendly ghosts, no gore, nothing truly frightening. It is ordered by an adult, and we never collect information from children. After Dark Edition is intense adult horror with mature and violent themes (frightening, but never gratuitously gory), for ages 18+ only; you must confirm your age at checkout. All purchasers must be 18 or older.
Can I order for someone else’s address?
Digital stories may be ordered for any US address; delivery goes only to you. We never mail anything to an address on behalf of an anonymous sender.
